With more than three decades at the forefront of the international
auction world, Brett Sherlock has built a remarkable career defined
by expertise, elegance, and an eye for the extraordinary. His work
has included some of the most notable sales in Christie’s history —
from Fabergé’s legendary Winter Egg and Diamond Trellis Egg, to
representing Princess Salimah Aga Khan in the renowned auction
of her personal jewelry collection. Brett also served as the personal
representative for Lord Linley during the global tour and sale of
Property from the Collections of HRH The Princess Margaret,
Countess of Snowdon.
In Canada, Brett played a key role in Christie’s Post-War and
Contemporary Auction in London, which featured Peter Doig’s
Charlie’s Space — sold for a record price to benefit the Donald R.
Sobey Foundation. His recent successes include The Desmarais
Collection in New York and the private sale of a 19th-century Tissot
masterpiece to the National Gallery of Canada.
Beyond the world of art and auctions, Brett is deeply committed
to philanthropy, generously lending his time and expertise to help
raise vital funds for Canadian charities.
